Royal Anecdotes is three today
Royal Anecdotes and its publisher, Syntagma Media, are three years old today, October 20, 2008.
Not wishing to upstage Prince Charles’s 60th, I’ve written a short, tongue-in-cheek, celebratory piece in Syntagma.

Long server downtimeRoyal Anecdotes apologizes for a rather long server outage which began on Sunday and has just ended. I won’t go into the details but it was not a happy experience. We’re now back and raring to go — once we’ve cleared up all the midnight oil and spilt milk. Thanks for your patience. Do you have a view? 14 Comments
Pictures of Royal City of ExeterWe’ve just created a Flickr photostream of life in Exeter, England, generally regarded as one of the most loyal cities in the UK to the Monarchy. ![]() It’s where I live, of course, and I’m going to build up a store of such shots over the summer. You can see them here : Flickr Photostream.

New Design for Royal AnecdotesWe’ll be a bit preocuppied over the weekend because we are unrolling new designs over our network of 50 websites. There are four templates within one overall design, one each for our three network magazines — Allusionz, Phi and LifeTimes – and a neutral one for sites that don’t fit any one of them. We will also be upgrading to a more advanced form of web technology, so many of the little niggles we’re currently experiencing will disappear. Royal Anecdotes will be upgraded with the LifeTimes theme, probably on Monday, so please bear with us if there is some downtime in the meanwhile. You can see the basic design (neutral) HERE, and for Allusionz Magazine, HERE. I apologise in advance for any disruption there might be on this site.
