Kat, I'm still not convinced about the miraculous appearance of William and Kate at Birkhall. It's a bit like the first sighting of the cuckoo in spring, which traditionally is announced in The Times. ;)

I think they are okay, but I still wait for confirmation that it's anything more than that. No doubt they will tell us if they're ever ready to take the next step.

Dan, the kind of politics we should avoid are party politics which just creates division and heated arguments, as well as boring most people to death.

Fergie's enterprise raises some interesting constitutional issues.

Dan, Gigi, and John's knowledge of the RF is amazing. I am enjoying all the information and history. I can't figure this out. If indeed there was a split, then why did we get the story of them being at Birkhall? John, maybe the Express has not agreed to a total press blackout of Kate. Therefore, they wrote the story about their weekend together. There was an article that I read on the web, where they said that Kate had come and gone from Balmoral in the summer of 2007. I hadn't heard of that from any of the blogging or news sites. This was back in August of last year.) Hopefully, she and William did go there over the weekend. Secondly, the Express was one of the earliest papers who reported that William and Kate could reconcile after April split. (Sorry John, I hadn't discovered your site yet. Soon after though.) My point is that they could have relevant information about the pair. Something is going on with them. It started happening when Miguel Head took the post of PR in October. I hope that Kate has not been left to fend for herself. I hope that PW would not "banish" her just because she made some mistakes. William has made them also. I believe that they are both receiving guidance. I hope that we'll see them together soon. It will calm myself.I just figure that up till now Prince William is out in the lime light firts. Kate hopefully will be seen soon.

John, thank you for the recommendations. Yes, it helps. Very much. Amazon is shipping them now. So much of history is perception it will be interesting to see what Bennett writes.

Re Kate Middleton and Prince William, I'm ready to go back to the gene/conception theory again (just teasing). Hopefully my futile Kate Middleton and Prince William searches will stop once the books arrive.

And Dan, believe me, you are sooooo not in the political mire alone. I'm on the same side of the fence as you and have also made postings more political than royal, except I don't write as well as you.
