Where is Prince Harry?
In the past that question would inevitably be answered with, “Somewhere in Africa — not far from Chelsy Davy.”

Prince Harry with African children in Lesotho
Later, it became “On secret deployment somewhere dangerous.”
So where is he now? Well, last week he was “Somewhere in Africa, but not near Chelsy.” What a complicated life the young Prince leads.
It seems Harry was at a circus near Maseru, the capital of Lesotho, with 30 African street children. Reports say he had great fun watching clowns and various animals in the Brian Boswell Circus’s Big Top.
The trip was organized by his charity, Sentebale, and the show included a Chinese trapeze act — the Chinese are everywhere these days — and some poodles.
An observer said, “”Harry loved it all and was as wide-eyed as the little kids around him.”
Beats running after “Terry Taliban” any day.

It’ll be interesting to hear about what else Harry does for the orphans.
On other news:
+ I read in the BBC and Telegraph that plans to change the laws on primogeniture (sons inherit before daughters, regardless of birth order) are being dropped, because the process would be too complicated. Too bad. I had hoped they’d change those laws before William & Kate marry and have children.
+ Zara Phillips is reported to have said in a GQ interview that she would marry Mike Tindall if he propose properly. I wonder what he’s waiting for?

Evelyn, I predicted that the primogeniture proposals would be dropped a few days ago in the comments. They always are.
Well, we can I suppose believe a published interview with Zara even though it contradicts other reports.

It could be that Zara & Mike have discussed marriage and their intentions, but that Zara still is waiting for a formal, romantic proposal. Perhaps reading the interview will spur Mike to act.
Do British brides throw the bridal bouquet? I wonder if Zara, Kate, or Chelsy might be fortunate enough to catch Autumn’s!

Evelyn
Yes we do throw the bridal bouquet and have a mad dash for it also!!!! That would be hilarious if Zara, Kate or Chelsy caught the bouquet!! Can you imagine the stories in the newspapers the next day!! Especially if Kate caught it!!!
The story about Harry is wonderful and fantastic to see that he is carrying out charity work without all of the pomp and ceremony. I wonder if Harry would be allowed to live in Africa? I’m sure someone has asked that question on here before but I can’t remember what the answer was. He just seems so much happier there or it could quite simply be because Chelsy is there.
No matter fantastic story

Actually… Chelsy isn’t there, at least not at the moment. She should be in Leeds, madly trying to catch up on classes after her long African break with her beau last month.

It’s nice to read that Harry is so involved with his charity. I hope the financial problems that were reported earlier this year have been solved and that the orphans will indeed profit from “Sentabale” in the future. Evelyn is right, Chelsy is in Leeds. She has been pictured there recently, yet, she probably has a lot to do with Harry’s obvious love for Africa.
About Zara and Mike, I would personally expect an engagement and wedding soon though I’m not sure whether these two would have to step back if William indeed plans to announce an engagement this year. Could two Royal couples be engaged at the same time? So could both W&K and Z&M announce an engagement this summer, Zara marrying low-key in October/November and W&K have the big pomp and circumstance next spring?

The Telegraph is reporting that Prince William flew to Afghanistan for 3 hours on Monday to meet troops. The Queen and Prince Charles gave permission, and a news blackout was imposed.

The Sun is reporting that Prince William was at the controls of the C17 Globemaster jet, landing it at Kandahar, at an airfield that was (or usually is?) under fire. The RAF was very pleased with his performance. The trip was Prince William’s idea, to give him some taste of service in a war zone. He specifically wanted to do something like this before May 7, when he leads the City Salute for war heroes.
Well done, sir!

Yes, I’m glad that he went over there to visit the troops and I’m sure the troops was very excited over the visit. Keep up the good work William.

The BBC online is reporting that Clarence House is confirming the story of Prince William’s trip to Kandahar. It also says that William flew the plane for part of the trip, but doesn’t say whether he landed it.

am glad he was able to get in/out without anyone blowing his cover…also hope the public sees this good deed instead of focus on his flying to the stag party and to kate’s and that this whole blasted things blows over…

Now I LOVE this photo!
Can anyone imagine any of the other royals (other than William) doing something like this? I cannot.
Harry is a natural!

Brilliant! I am absolutely delighted that our own dear Prince William flew to the war zone to visit the troops! I am also delighted that our dear soldier Prince Harry took the children on an outing in Africa! Things are going so well, it makes me so happy! I am very proud.
