Kate Middleton will go to the Windsor wedding of Peter Phillips, non-Royal grandson of the Queen, and Canadian, Autumn Kelly.
Chelsy Davy — Cinders will not be going to the ball
The ceremony, described as a very small and private occasion, will apparently be held in St. George’s Chapel as originally thought. However, the recent mention of Frogmore House on the Windsor estate perhaps gives a clue to the venue of the reception afterwards.
A disappointment for some is that Chelsy Davy has not been included on the guest list. An insider has told the Mail on Sunday that both Prince Harry and Chelsy are angry at her absence — she was not invited to ski at Klosters either, suggesting some reluctance to accept her on the part of the Royal Family.
[Speculation] Of course if Prince William and Kate Middleton are secretly engaged — as has been suggested in the German press — it would explain Chelsy’s omission. [End of speculation].
The Royal insider comments, “Chelsy has been left off the list for the wedding and all the invitations have gone out now. Peter and his fiancee Autumn sent invites out a few weeks ago for what is going to be a very small and private occasion.
“The explanation being offered is that, at the time, Harry and Chelsy were going through a wobble. But Chelsy sees it as a direct snub and is pretty miffed at not having been invited, especially as Kate plans to go. Chelsy feels like she is often left out of family engagements. She was not invited to ski, which doesn’t bother her because she’d rather go home to Cape Town, but she would like to have been invited to Peter’s wedding. She’s becoming the Royals’ Cinderella.”
If Cinders needs a role model on how to be a Princess-in-waiting, she would do well to take a close look at Kate Middleton.

A press story claiming that Prince Harry is furious that so little of the money raised for his charity, Sentebale, has got through to people in Lesotho, Africa, has been denied by Clarence House. A press release comments :
On Monday 17th March 2008, The Daily Telegraph’s Mandrake column reported that Prince Harry was angry that Sentebale had been able to give only a tiny fraction of the money it has raised to Aids orphans. The charity’s first year accounts showed that it received donations of £1.15m but gave out only £84,000, while spending £250,000 on staff costs, and £86,000 on a website.
Prince Harry is not angry about Sentebale’s first set of financial figures. The Prince understands the importance of establishing Sentebale on the ground in Lesotho and this is where most of the money was spent during the first 18 months (17th March 2006 – 31st August 2007).
Obviously there are going to be heavy upfront costs in establishing any charity, but Harry is right to put down a marker in case Sentebale turns out like the Diana Fund after her death, which wasted millions on unmemorable “memorials”, like the dismal ditch in Kensington Gardens, and futile legal costs in America.
He should keep a close eye on what’s happening on the ground and in the accounts. He clearly is.
Update There has been an update from Clarence House on the spending from Sentebale in Lesotho and the thinking of the management of Prince Harry’s charity HERE.

Kate Middleton and Prince William were spotted at ski resort Klosters yesterday, three days before Prince Charles is due to arrive.
Prince William guiding Kate Middleton down a slope
In the picture above, William seems to be helping Kate down the slope, but the word is that Kate is quite an accomplished skier. So maybe simple togetherness is the name of the game.
A source is quoted as saying, “The fact that the Prince of Wales is happy to holiday with Prince William and Miss Middleton speaks volumes about the seriousness of the relationship she has with the Royal Family. I know she and William had a little time apart last year but that is very much behind them now. They are very much together.”

Neither Prince Harry nor Chelsy Davy are expected to join the party. Camilla hates skiing, so will stay away too. Kate’s sister Pippa is reported to be a member of the party.

The Prince of Wales and Camilla today opened their own grocery shop in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
Appropriately named Highgrove, the shop will sell organic produce from the Prince’s farms and his growing range of foodstuffs, branded under the name, Duchy Originals.
The good folk of the village will have privileged access to the Prince’s high-quality produce.
