Kate Middleton at Peter Phillips party
With the Royal focus firmly on the Queen and Prince Harry’s former girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, Kate Middleton has been off centre-stage for some time.

She reappeared last week, together with Prince William, at the 30th birthday party for Peter Phillips at the Cocoon restaurant at Soho. The group later moved on for drinks at nearby Volstead, described as an exclusive members’ club and “an oasis of elegance in London’s Mayfair [which] rekindles the atmosphere of our most socially hedonistic times”.
Present at the party were Peter and Autumn Kelly — the newest addition to the Royal Family — Princess Beatrice and her sister Eugenie and Zara Phillips.
As a prelude to the Queen’s Diamond anniversary long weekend, it seems to have gone off well. Although Beatrice left early for a distinctly downmarket bash involving the Kate Moss crowd. Let’s hope she’s not giving Peaches Geldof a run for her money.
I’m always glad to see William & Kate out together.

I am delighted Kate and Prince William were at Peter’s birthday party and that Prince Andrew’s daughters were in attendance as well as Zara. It is nice to see the Royal cousins socializing together.
I admit I winced at the report that Princess Beatrice joined the Kate Moss mix afterwards, however. I don’t think those people are ones with whom Princess Beatrice ought to be spending any time. I was also worried that she apparently went unescorted. Where is Dave Clark when he is needed?

Was Kate really there. Her wherabouts are not being made clear
at present. Perhaps something will be said over the run up to Christmas. The reported Christmas holiday is almost word for word to that published last time they went to the Indian ocean and similar to the report of the Polo appearance and Kate’s cousins wedding in July. Not happening. Unfortunately I think it’s going to be a little wait and see and …………. I do so hope not.

Prince William did go to the Seychelles with Kate Middleton. If she wasn’t at the party for Peter Phillips then a number of news outlets got it horribly wrong. I doubt anyone knows what happened with Kate’s cousin’s wedding. For all we know, Kate didn’t go either because by that time the paparazzi would have made a circus out of the wedding. I see nothing sinister in any of this. I think Kate is keeping a low profile and that does not mean that she and Prince William are not seeing each other. Control of the media circus is a wise course for them.

Gigi, I know most of the reports and comments are supposition, But in honesty have Kate and William really been seen together since Balmoral ?
I have heard lots but absolutly no confirmation that there were ‘happenings’ that wekend followed by report of her leaving
her job and subsequent bad publicity. Think back a few months , ie Cheltenham last year, and then the April “happening.” Also ref. Christmas holiday. Reported as ‘William’ trying to arange dates ? Two months ahead !?

William & Kate was just out with each other at the aprty for Peter the other night. They looked great together.

I do mean party, you have to look at the pictures on William & Harry Unlimited and The Daily mail. They would have never got the pictures wrong. I’m sure that the service today, gave William the spirit to devote himself to his future marriage. I know that it really warmed me up and gave me hope for my future.
I don’t know what pictures Will is looking at but yes Kate was at the party for Peter. She is also pictured with William in the car on their way to a club after the party. They looked very happy.

News has broke that Harry & Chelsy has reunited. They are back together. Boy Harry works fast.

I think Prince Harry had to work fast, Claudius. The news media were reporting that Chelsy was practically packing her things to move back to South Africa, abandoning her schooling in Leeds and going home. Prince Harry had a very close shave, as they say here. Let us hope he takes better care of things and people who are precious to him in the future.

I still find it hard to accept that after so long Kate can’t be accepted at anything that seems ‘formal’. William appears to atend functions alone whilst other have partners with them. I s this Kate’s choice or are there still reservations about their relationship. I sometime fel so unhappy for her she must get lonely and upset

Well that’s not strictly true, Will. Chelsy has never attended a formal function, nor has Mike Tindall. Autumn is now “in” because she has a formal engagement with Peter.
Kate has met the Queen, attended William’s Passing Out Parade, stayed at Balmoral as guest of the Prince of Wales, who taught her how to shoot. She’s also been riding with the Queen. Not a bad haul, but out of public view — just in case it doesn’t work out.

Thanks for information. I didnt know she had met the Queen in the last two years or had been riding with her. It is just that she has been with William a long time now and he has had several outings when she could reasonably have accompanied him such as at Soccer or Rugby match. I know she has been with him in the past when he was spectating but to my knowledge never when he has been ‘on duty’. Do you think she feels ‘left out’ or even slighted ? I do so wish that things were more formal but I think that will not happen for a long long time.

Will, while no one can speak for Kate Middleton, I highly doubt she feels “left out” or even slighted. In contrast, she is reported to value her privacy quite highly - and quite sensibly too, I might add.

Thanks Amity, Whilst agreeing with you in the matter of Kate’s privacy, with William’s increasing Royal duties when will she find the time to be with her loved one. Surly we can all remember our own time with our partners and the heart ache of even spending a day apart. The last few weeks must have been very difficult with all William’s duties so it may have been kind to have included Kate at some stage and I think most people would have accepted her prescence.
