Prince Harry Behaving Badly
In an interview to be broadcast at 10.30 GMT tonight on BBC News 24, Royal photographer Arthur Edwards says that Prince Harry’s increasingly erratic behaviour is becoming embarrassing.
“He should be behaving a lot better,” Edwards insists. “I think Prince Harry is dangerously becoming an embarrassment to this country. He knows that if he goes to these nightclubs, paparazzi hang around. It’s par for the course.”
The 22-year-old has been training as an Army officer for deployment to Iraq next month. He will become the first Royal in 25 years to serve in a war zone.
Meanwhile, after girlfriend Chelsy Davy cancelled her stay in England, and amid talk of a rift between them, Harry flew to Barbados to spend three weeks with her before going to Iraq.
The Prince also faces a dressing-down from his senior officers after unseemly pictures of him, apparently falling into a gutter, appeared in the press.
To be in one doghouse may be seen as careless. To be in three at the same time is way over the top.
Harry says he wants the Army to be his career, but his recent antics must have seriously jeopardised his hopes of significant promotion.

John, I may be completely wrong here, but who is Anthony Edwards to be publically criticizing a member of Royal Family, for whom he is employed as the Royal Photographer? I agree that Prince Harry is a bit out of hand. He may even be “wild in the country” as we say here. Even so, if Anthony Edward’s wishes to assist in Prince Harry’s reclamation, the effective route would be to speak to the Prince himself, or, failing that, the Queen or the Duke of Edinburgh. Just exactly what does Edwards hope to achieve by grandstanding to the media? Further, why is he casting aspersions on Prince Harry alone? Prince William has been seen carousing and drinking as well. What is Edward’s agenda, I have to wonder. If the Queen’s staff is not loyal, perhaps it is time for her to clean house and get some people in the Palace who understand the value and the importance of loyalty and discretion. As a final shot across the bow, I would add that I would be grateful if Edward’s remembers that in a very short while, Prince Harry is going to be dodging land mines and bullets, grenades and rockets in the baking sandstorms of Iraq. Does Edward’s begrudge his Prince these last golden days of joyful living, perhaps (though God forbid it) the last he may ever know?

Thats exactly what I have written in a previous post. Embarrassing behavior to his country. But I was thinking about his behavior as a soldier, that was stupid to go partying while some of his countrymen were still hostages in Iran. I wasn’t thinging about his general behavior. Will’s is worse.

I agree with you Gigi. And its very unfair for Harry. The future defender of the Faith was seen feeling up and smooching other girls than his official girlfriend and no one complain about that on TV
Gigi no one has the right to go to see the Queen and the Duke for complaining about Wills and Harry’s behavior. The right thing to do is to complain about the press. Oh you’re right Madam these photos are disgusting oh you’re right Sir these rumours are scandalous. Thats the right to do with them
Anyway, don’t worry for Harry, soon he will be seen as a great modern hero

Will isn’t worse…. there were pictures of Harry feeling up his friend Natalie too. Now, I agree - if someone is going to criticize one prince, he should criticize both of them. But Will hasn’t done anything Harry hasn’t done, maybe even done first!! Plus, there are less pictures of Will, certainly fewer pictures of him falling out of cars and chasing after photographers while drunk.

I agree, Sarah. William was praised by police protection for never compromising his security and the officers protecting him.
Okay, he gets squiffy sometimes, but he seems more aware of his obligations than Harry. I don’t recall Wills ever chasing a photographer around the street, inviting an assault charge.
This is about Harry, and for everyone’s sake, he needs to get a grip now.

That picture of Harry and Natalie is about 2004. Rather old now. And pictures are not everything. Thats not because there are less pics of Wills that does mean he does nothing wrong.
The only thing Harry does is to be drunk almost all the time. William does the same, and plus he feels up other girls than his official girlfriend. Thats what I call being worse. But Im not going to make a fuss if you still think Harry is worse

I’m not saying that either is worse, just that you can’t roast Will about one picture of him with a girl and not talk about Harry and his picture with a girl. And really, what and where William chooses to put his hands on girls is between him and Kate. Obviously, at least publically, she doesn’t have a problem with it. However, Will has not punched photographers - or tried to - like his brother. Nor has he worn a swatiska. I just think you’re being harsh towards Will in an attempt to defend Harry. I actually think both of them are just being young and shouldn’t be criticized (or called “embarassing” by someone on national TV). I think Mr. Edwards probably did his share of partying as a young man, and if he didn’t, he missed out. We’ve all, or at least my friends and I, have had our little mistakes and drunken nights, we’re just lucky that they didn’t get photographed and commented on by everyone all other the internet and elsewhere. And just because the boys get drunk, and both of them do, doesn’t mean they aren’t quality individuals and haven’t contributed to doing good in the world.

I don’t need to defend Harry, why should I defend someone on internet forum?
As I can see Harry’s problem is alcohol, then he needs help, not to be blamed.
What Wills and Kate are doing is not my business, but as long as Wills poses for photos by knowing everybody will see them, I have the right to say a word about that.
The thing I don’t understand is why being harsh with Harry about his link with photographers and the press. He insults them and so what? What should he be amical towards an industry which makes his life and has made his mother’s life as hell? Im pretty sure that if Wills wasn’t the heir then he would do the same.

I wanted to say friendly, not amical
