Mirror Apologizes for Kate Middleton Photo
The Daily Mirror has apologized to Kate Middleton after publishing a picture of her on her way to work in yesterday’s paper (see picture here).
Kate had put in an official complaint to the Press Complaints’ Council, a voluntary body administered by newspapers themselves. She brushed off stories of a rift between herself and Prince William with the comment: “It’s something I expect. There will always be girls throwing themselves at him and members of the press making something of it. It means nothing to me.”
The Mirror story used a momentary facial expression to suggest something of a building feud between the two.
In that case, the Daily Mail should also have to apologize for using a picture from a situation where Kate felt harassed.

It means nothing to me.” The girl either needs glasses or could care less about anything but the Title and Tiara. Williams hand was on her breast not the other way around so how can Kate say the girl threw her self at him? Does not say much for Kate.

If Kate is truly harassed, then she’ll stop using her status as William on-off girlfriend, reaping the benefit thru freebies and discounted brand new car.

You’re all right.
I personally would like to see this great love William has for his girlfriend in action now(never mind that he would watch himself when out-taking great care not to be too close to women, dirty dancing with them, posing for pictures with them hugging them in farmiliar ways and what-not)
He should make a public apology to Kate for embarrassing her instead of letting her handle this alone and to the monarchy-he is their future and the last thing we needed to see was him ‘handling’ a woman. Harry made a similar apology after he had been caught in a compromising position.

I’d be okay with a change in William’s behavior, and no more photos showing indiscretions. A public apology isn’t necessary, in my book.

It hardly matters! Apology or Not! She knows what she wants and she is ready to go through anything for it!!
The tiara is getting closer, so why make a hiccup in the process? Do anything as long as officially you belong to me is what she lives by…
I don’t see any reason why people need to feel bad for kate! She knows what she wants and she is getting there…

That’s what I’ve been thinking about, too, Lily. Public opinion would be hard on William if *he* dumped Kate. Could he be trying to offend her so deeply that *she* will dump him?

After months and months of speculation, here’s the announcement we’ve all been waiting for!
The following announcement is issued by the Press Secretary to the Prince of Wales
The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of his son, Prince William, to Miss Kate Middleton, daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael and Carole Middleton, to which union the Queen has gladly given her consent.
The couple sought the permission of their respective parents early in the New Year. Both families are thrilled at the news.
No decision has been taken yet regarding the venue and date for the wedding. However, Prince William and Miss Kate Middleton hope that it might be possible to use Westminster Abbey, in the late Summer or early Fall.

Prince William and Kate will not announce their engagement for at least another year. But an announcement will come in their own time. He is not trying to make her leave him. He’s man enough to stop it if he wants to. He is a man, not a child who plays games.

I thought it was an April Fool’s Day joke also. I agree with Positive that an announcement will come in it’s own time. I do believe that if an announcement of an engagement is ever to be made between Prince William and Kate, it would be after this year is over with.
I also agree that William is a man and not a child, and if he wanted to end a relationship he would just do it without playing any games.

For some reason I have a feeling that Kate and Prince William are already engaged and that the only two things left to formalize this are the engagement ring and the annuncement by the Palace. If Prince William has chosen to give Kate an heirloom ring from the Royal Collection, she may already have the ring but is not wearing it as yet. If Prince William was buying a ring, he’d almost surely buy it from Garrards, the Royal Jeweler, and I doubt that could be kept a secret for very long. I suppose we shall just have to bake Easter cookies, cook ham and lamb for Easter dinner and make Easter cake in the form of a decorated Easter egg and bide our time.

This is completely off topic to LilyfromFrance — Lily, when I was in France several years ago, I got a certain kind of writing pen that was popular with students –they were at the grocery store and things like that (very common). I can’t remember the name, but it was blue ink and write similar to a fountain pen, but it was disposable like a ball point pen. Do you happen to know what I am talking about, and, if so a name or store I could get these from off line? Thanks!
And to keep on topic…I think the Queen had great advice. Neither William nor Harry, no matter how much they love their respective girlfriends, seem ready to get married at this point.

I guess you’re talking about Bic pens. Everybody uses them here. The most populars are Bic Cristal and Bic Orange Fine. I don’t know really where you could get them outside France, but I know they can be found everywhere and if you can’t find them in a store then perhaps Ebay could be a last hope
But I might be wrong… There are 2 others popular pens in France which are Reynolds and Waterman, but they aren’t as famous as Bics.

They are in Barbados for 3 weeks. Chelsy’s brother Sean and his girlfriend are with them. I bet Chelsy’s tantrums about Pinkham have convinced Harry to organize that.
If only all the soldiers could go on holiday in Carribean before going to war….
