Princess Eugenie — Blogger

Princess Eugenie has an open-access MySpace blog called Daddy’s Little Girl. Some may think that’s a strange title for a 16-year-old to put on her blog. But, she doesn’t attempt to hide her identity in any way and appears openly as a member of the Royal Family.

Here’s her description :

“Hi, my name is Eugenie I am 16, pretty easy going, I like meeting new people and generally mingling! I am really into my music at the moment and spend most of the time with my iPod around my neck, much to the annoyance of the people trying to communicate with me!

“I love playing Hockey, Tennis and football. I also love going skiing with my Family.

“If you haven’t already guessed I am a member of the British Royal Family. The Queen is my Grandmother and My Father is Prince Andrew The Duke of York.

“People think it must be weird being a Princess and that we must live some fantasy lifestyle, but I go to school like anyone else my age and although I am obviously in a very priviledge situation my Mother and Father try and keep us in as normal a family upbringing as possible. My parents divorced when I was 6 but they still get on really well and we go on holidays together so I don’t mind to much.”

Her interests are shown as :

Sport: Football, Hockey , Skiing, Swimming, Riding.
General: Photography, Singing and Computer Games.
Food: Corn on the cob, hotdogs and Donuts .
Colour: Purple.
Item: Mobile Phone (sorry dad! haha)
Music: Stereophonics, The Automatic, Cold Play, Green Day, Gorillaz
Television: Lost, Desperate House Wives.
Heroes: My Grandmother, The Queen, Super Gran!
My Father, The Duke of York, The most supportive father I could wish for
My Mother, The Duchess of York, She is Wonderful!
My Sister, Princess Beatrice, One of my best friends

Very down to earth. Rather Fergieish, I think. Look at those pudgy foods.

  1. mmmh…I’m rather septical about this. If all this is not fake, then sorry! Anyway, Cold play… oh no…

  2. John, if you read the Daily Mail article, it ends by saying that she has moved from MySpace to Facebook in order to protect her privacy better.

  3. It’s a fake.

  4. Lily from France and Pri, what makes you suspect that the MySpace entry is a fake? She uses “to” when she means “too” and omits the “d” on the end of priviledge(d) in addition to the fact that she needs to add some punctuation, but the entry seems age-appropriate to me in every other way. She is only 16, after all. I think the entry is quite charming.

  5. It’s cute, but the thing that makes it look false is that all the pictures are different sizes and a random assortment from all through the years, and not many (if any…I can’t remember) where she is actually looking at the camera. If you did a search for Eugenie pics on google you will probably find all those pics. I’m just supposing that if it were real, the pictures would all be the same size (coming from the same camera), they would be current, and she would be with her friends looking at the camera. Why would she put pictures from google on her myspace? That’s my guess. : )

  6. I think it’s fake because all of the pictures are copyrighted. There are clearly from photo agencies. I don’t think her family will be in her top 8…I’m not on MySpace–so what I assume is the top 8. I think the entry is charming and sweet, but someone like Eugenie would more than likely have their profile set to private. I don’t remember any reports stating the Queen or Prince Philip was on MySpace either.

  7. I also forgot to mention there are a lot profiles on myspace and facebook that pretend to be celebrities. Chelsy and Harry apparently had profiles on facebook–I’m not sure if that proven true. Chelsy also has a frendster account and it obviously wasn’t her. People do this type of thing all the time. I haven’t the slightest clue why. It’s kinda sad.

  8. She’s apparently moved to Facebook to get more privacy. The last MySpace entry was in November. Interesting that if you click on “blog” you get a short message from someone called Tom. So maybe Tom Parker Bowles has taken it over. ;-)

  9. Easy answer Gigi, the real Eugenie would never call her aunt Sophie and her uncle Edward as “the Wessexes”. The informations were so general, as about her studies or something. If you check out MySpace just one minute, you woud see there are thousands of “Prince William”, “Prince Charles” etc. Anybody can write anything there.
Harry and Chelsy use Facebook. He is “Spike” and she is “Chicken”.

  10. All of you make good points that I had not considered regarding the questionable authenticity of the MySpace post. It just goes to show you that what our gGrandfathers told us is still true today: “Believe only half of what you read and less of what you hear.” I confess I am bewildered by what motivates someone–anyone–to create a post pretending to be a member of the Royal family or another celebrity. It appears that a few folks have lost their tenuous ties to reality.

  11. :( And my typos will still be the end of us all! :(

  12. Systemic Corticosteroids: Systemic corticosteroids are known to cause osteoporosis. No formal clinical studies have been conducted to assess if there is an interactive effect on bone loss between systemic corticosteroids and Accutane. Therefore, caution should be exercised when using these drugs together.
