Prince Harry on the Town with Madonna
Prince Harry has been spotted out drinking with Madonna and husband Guy Richie. He is said to have spent more than two hours talking to the so-called Queen of Pop at Mayfair’s Mahiki club.
Big ears listening in say they discussed Madonna and Guy’s adoption of African baby David Banda last October while consuming £100 ($194) champagne Treasure Chest cocktails.
Harry told the couple about the orphans he has befriended in Africa and his charity, Sentebale, which helps thousands of Aids orphans in Lesotho.
One onlooker said: “Harry wasn’t drunk, even though he had a few cocktails from the Mahiki Treasure Chest. The more he talked to Guy about Africa, Aids and the children, the more he was tearful. He seems to be a very sensitive guy.
“He also gushed to Guy about how caring his girlfriend Chelsy is towards the African orphans.â€
The conversation moved on to training regimes and how far they ran during exercise. Inevitably the question of injuries came up and caused some mirth in the party.
Harry’s role in the Army probably allows him to advise even a devoted fitness feak like Madonna.

Well seeing Madonnas pics when she left, where she could hardly walk and her husband had to support her, surely she didnt thought about her fitness.Completely drunked. As for Harry,if he is so worried about the Orphans maybe he should start donated the money he drinks everytime he goes out, cause IT WORTHS ALOT.Drinking 100 Champagne while talking about the poor Orphans.Ahhhhhhhh.Are we serious?Seriously who do they kidding?Out on a Monday night, drinking heavily with the Queen of pop,and her husband.John look at her pics and tell me.She looks sober or clean to you?Cause people who have been out and about KNOWS what they see in that face. The same thing they saw on Natalies nose the other day.I hope the army holds sudden drug tests.Shame.

What in the world could you pour into a cocktail that would make it worth that kind of money? Even the most expensive champagne shouldn’t cost $194 in the small amountthat fits in a champagne flute! Someone please enlighten me. It seems to me that the management of that Mayfair club is building up their own treasure chest!

Do royals ever adopt? I wonder if Harry and Chelsy would ever consider adopting an African AIDs orphan. Would an adopted child become a prince/ss? Or only a child by birth?

My guess is that only a child who is theirs by birth would be granted a Royal title of Prince or Princess and take their place in the Royal Line of Succession. I can’t remember a case where the British Royal Family adopted a child, but there is a first time for everything.

I hope that Madonna and Guy really listened to Harry. I also think instead of spending that amount of money on a cocktail they should have made a contribution to Sentable!!!!!

i have to agree with Trudie on this one…. I’m also very happy that at leats something good about Harry has come up. He seems to be a great guy… we the youngest children (i’m the youngest of two sisters just as William and Harry..), I have to say, tend to be fun, yet the best between the 2.. lol

yes, trudie, it would’ve been nice to donate that money, instead of wasting it on an alcoholic beverage! however, being celebrities, they tend to spend money w/o a care… which is too bad, since there are so many people in need.
i think it would be so cool to see a member of the royal family adopt - from wherever! i can see harry being that person too… he seems to have such a gentle side.
just curious… did madonna/guy/harry meet at mahiki? or do they have prior acquaintance? does anybody know?

They didnt even spended 15 minutes talking.Harry spended most of his time in the bar even leaking drinks from the table. Its realy depressing to read these stuff.

i finally saw pics of the three of them (seperate, of course)… madonna looked really intoxicated. in fact, i think she was leaning on her husband for support. the pic i saw of harry was one in a car, and it really wasn’t that good… so, who knows? if she was that drunk, i doubt she and harry could have held a decent conversation. much less one about orphans and exercise regimens.
but hey, stranger things have happened!

Adoption would be regarded as anathema in the Royal Family since it would cast doubt in areas of legitimate succession. What if there were no heirs, or just contested heirs, might the nation demand a very popular adoptee as Monarch? A definite no-go area.
Actually, Queen Victoria sort of adopted a little black girl from Africa, but she was never formally legitimized, and finally became one of the staff at Buckingham Palace.

Thanks, John. That makes a lot of sense. Nice to know the historical precedents.
