Chelsy Davy Takes Toll on Prince Harry
Prince Harry seemed decidedly the worse for wear following a nine-mile forced march in Windsor Great Park yesterday.
Although he kept up with the group, his flushed face bore some of the hallmarks of 10 days on the town with girlfriend Chelsy Davy. During her short stay in London, Harry was out nightclubbing till late on at least four occasions.
Just after 7am yesterday, in freezing temperatures and snow, it was back to hard training for the warrior Prince.
He joined four platoons of his regiment, the Blues and Royals, who set out from their base at Combermere Barracks near Windsor — home of the Household Cavalry — for the gruelling march.
The soldiers were dressed in combat fatigues and carried 48lb backpacks, plus a service rifle.
Whether he kept going by thinking about Chelsy is something only he will know, I suspect.
it is so unfortunate that the paparazzi can get these photos of william and harry while they are training. these poor boys can never have any privacy! can you imagine how bad the situation would get if harry did end up getting deployed? the guy can’t go out to clubs, much less train, without photogs snapping his every move. with this in mind, i can’t believe that him possibly being deployed is even a option! do the people (who decide whether or not harry is going to be deployed) not realize the danger that they would be putting harry and his comrades in if they said yes? i realize that i have said this before, but it really upsets me… there have already been too many unnecessary deaths/injuries!

He ran nine miles with 54 lbs on his back!!!!! That wasn’t Chelsy taking her toll on Harry that was the loong run, snow and cold weather taking it’s toll on Harry. Any soldier in top condition would feel the effects of those conditions. To all the tabloid reporters that say Harry was still feeling the residual effects of Chelsy’s visit. I’d like to see them march for FIVE miles–keep a steady pace and carry 25 lbs pack. I bet they wouldn’t be able to do it. Complete garbage!!! I’m sick of some reporters and certain publications sh*tting all over Harry. (Excuse my French!) It’s horrible and completely unwarranted!!!

S. S. and Pri, I agree with you. Further, Prince Harry has the exact coloring of skin and hair that my brother has, and even if Josiah is out in the cold standing or walking slowly, his face gets that red flushing like Prince Harry has in the photograph. It doesn’t mean anything more than the fact that certain types of skin react differently to cold temperatures than other types. I do not wish to appear rude, but I would be grateful if these hypercritical media publications would stop stalking our young Princes and their young ladies. Further, I would be grateful if they could stick to some semblance of truthful reporting instead of this fanciful rubbish they write day after day.

pri – you are so right on! i hate the double standard for the prince’s. anytime harry is looking worn down, chelsy is the reason why. whereas, when william is doing great, it is because of kate’s presence in his life… yet, is is never the other way around (harry doing great = chelsy; william worn down = kate).
personally, i think *how* the boys are doing is completely dependent on *what* they are doing as *individuals* – not how their girlfriends have affected them. as you said pri, he was hauling a 48lbs. pack for 9 miles & as you mentioned gigi, when moving out in the cold (in this case, freezing temperatures) many people will get flushed face’s. the media should just stuff it!

Not much news around right now about any of them, except Prince Charles in the U.S to collect an environmental award — and he’s criticized for flying. Is he supposed to row across the Atlantic, I wonder?
And Harry’s been warned off Guy Pelly by Chelsy after turning up two hours late for a date. If I posted that I’d be accused of having a go at Chelsy and Harry again?

I read that Charles says he will forego a skiing trip to Switzerland to compensate for his flight to the U.S., thereby decreasing his carbon footprint.
Does anyone know if William and/or Harry are as environmentally-conscious as Charles?

Charles and Camilla didn’t draw very well in Philadelphia. I read in the press that approximately 400 people turned out. In Philly, more people than that show up for high school basketball games! Charles and Camilla flew in a commercial plane rather than a private jet, so I don’t think the critics were upset with his mode of transportation. I believe their point was that he, Camilla and their usual entourage undertook such an expensive trip merely to accept an award, which some see as shallow and self-promoting.
Neither Kate nor Chelsy like Guy Pelly and both want the princes to avoid his company. What is Guy’s problem, anyway?

Exactly, the plane would have flown anyway, even if they were not on it. Strange how flying is now being demonized — almost overnight — and by the usual suspects.

Thanks for the link, John. I really meant why is Guy Pelly jeopardizing his relationship with the Royals by his wild behavior and his bad influence on Prince William and Prince Harry? My experience is that when a ‘friend’ tries to come between a fellow and his serious girlfriend, that ‘friend’ gets cast aside.

pri and i were only pointing out that harry problems always seem to be chelsy’s fault & that (as a couple) they are never depicted in a positive way by the media. do you disagree?
it said in the article that 15 other guy friends were w/ harry. why does guy get blamed for him being late? it seems like most media sources have are so biased against him. certainly, he has done many stupid things, but so has harry. yet, guy is the one getting blamed! harry isn’t a robot… he could’ve made the decision to be there on time. instead, he chose to stick around w/ his friends. to blame guy is just stupid!

Chelsy must have had some reason to blame Guy Pelly for the two hour delay. Maybe this has happened before, or maybe Prince Harry told her “Guy insisted….” or something. It can’t be a coincidence that both Kate and Chelsy think that Guy is a poor influence on Prince William and Prince Harry. If there is any chance whatsoever that there are drugs involved, that should be the kiss of death. I am certain the Queen and Charles would move heaven and earth to prevent either of the young princes being around anyone who is involved in using drugs.

denied by pelly or the royal family? if the claim that guy introduced drugs to harry is true, i find it odd and highly unlikely that the royal family would deny it – espescially since they seem to want controversial subjects out of the spotlight. (which, of course, is to be expected) by accusing pelly, they would have accomplished that.
i guess what i’m trying to get at is that all this hype around guy pelly is ridiculous. and for kate and chelsy to ‘dislike’ guy even more so. like you said gigi, “I am certain the Queen and Charles would move heaven and earth to prevent either of the young princes being around anyone who is involved in using drugs.” so the queen and charles are either blissfully unaware of the drugs, or there are no drugs. however, until drugs are discovered, kate and chelsy really need to stop complaining about the prince’s friends and focus on the prince’s themselves… because no matter how influential guy is to the prince’s, william and harry are certainly old enough to make their own decisions! even if “guy insisted”….

John, I just saw an article about Charles building a “mini mansion” on the Harewood Park estate. Do you think this building is intended as a home from Prince William and Kate after their marriage? Or could this be for Prince Harry? Charles just bought a place in Wales and I am getting confused. He has Clarence House In London and the country place in Gloucestershire. How many homes does he need?

Yes we covered that story here last year : Harewood Park.
It’s believed it’s for William, although there are other properties on the estate that could be done up for Harry.
Charles has also bought a small cottage in Wales, mainly to let out. Property is a terrific investment here in Britain. It’s been rising madly in price for years.

SS: Harry admitted taking drugs to Prince Charles more than a year ago. Charles marched him off to a drug rehabilitation centre to meet a few drug addicts and see what it was like.
Since then he’s been in the Army and appears to have grown up a lot, although he still likes a wicked cocktail or two. Pelly was actually present on one occasion when drugs were smoked/taken openly in front of William, Kate and Harry. Not surprisingly both Kate and Chelsy have warned the Princes about him.

Actually Harry wasnt present,and Guy was smoking he didnt just was there.He was smoking dope,with WIlliam and Kate sitting in the next table and this happened last spring.Charles was so unaware on what his sons were up to in their daily lifes,that his servants actually informed him about drugs being taken in Highgrove.Even Charles close friend Peny Junor said,it was common knowledge what Harry(and probably William,but he is always covered)for months around the Highgrove territory,but Charles wasnt aware.Shows how close he realy is to his sons and how close they actually spend their lifes.
As for Chelsy and the Guy Pelly story,Harry was always pictured with Chelsy,the 4 nights they were out while she was in the Uk,and Pelly wasnt around.Its wellknown Guy Pelly is WIlliams best friend,but the press keeps on connecting him to Harry,cause WIlliams reputation cant afford a drugtaking heavy drinking and easily getting naked friend.Who can forget Kate and WIlliam dragging Pellys pants down in Klosters in full view of reporters on a disco?He was dancing on a table.Ahhh.In general great people all of them.
And take notice,Guy was on his gap year in the Oz when Harry was on drinks and drugs.They needed a bad guy as usual.Williams circle is full of drugs.His mentor at Eton is a heavy heroine user,his big “bro”with whom he is very close,TomPb was taking drugs for many years,almost got expelled from Eton and University and he was also got gaught taking cocaine.TaraPt gets in and out of rehabs,and Emma PB whom WIlliam was in love with when he was 18 attended rehab for drugtaking in the Us.Dont believe the QUeen is so close to actually know what her grandsons do.Remember she didnt know anything about Harry.Everybody thought he and WIlliam were happy healthie and living a great life with their father/Happy at pics.And then the drugs story came out.
And John,Harry never went to the rehab clinics.Mark Bolland admitted he made that story up,to present Charles as a caring father.Remember.The deal with the SUn.

Well they dont need me for the negative stories.William and Harry have managed lately to have too many negative stories about them,themselfs.Too much partying and drinking for the hardworking soldiers.Any news about the Concert for Diana?Any new tickets out?Or it was just a show to backtrack the inquiry findings and Burells comments?John have you managed to make out what Harry is saying in this part of the Interview that doesnt appear in the transcript?
William wasnt that small,he could easily shoot and kill dears with his father at that age,even being blooded,but he didnt know where he was in a homeless shelter?Notice the comments he makes,as if he critisizes Diana for dragging him,and Harrys face gets serious and interupts WIlliam telling him something,and then Wills says Yes thats true,and then says iam glad that she did(dragged me there).I havent managed quite yet to find out what Harrys says to him.But surely changed Williams words about Diana.I asked by got no answer.

I did, yes, when I was very small, yes. She dragged me out and I didn’t know what was going on or where I was or anything, but it’s a visit that stayed with me for ever. And, yes, that’s true. And I’m very glad that she did. And it’s a wonderful charity and I really hope we can do an awful lot for them

I still believe that house will be on lease or sold.The Duchy has made millions with deals like that.Its not the first poperty they are buying to sell.I think William seems very Highrove bonded,and i believe Harry has already moved out from Ch,living now at his regiments rooms,he hasnt spend much time with the family for months ,so he will be the one to leave first he seems more independent than William.And much more clear and determined about his life.

i also caught that while watching the interview… john, do you have any idea what harry said? it was only a few short words… but it makes me wonder.
however, what you said contradicts my theory that guy isn’t to blame for harry’s drug abuse and late appearence. where do you both find this information? i would be interested in checking it out.
anyway, if what shake said is true, then it wasn’t guy’s fault and i was right. sort of…

Shake is back!! Regarding the young princes and drug use, because of the climate of today’s society, I can believe that one or both of the princes may have experiemented with drugs, as many young people do. The material point is that they both need to move away from those things and from people who encourage harmful pursuits, and realize they are meant to hold to a higher standing, were bred for a higher calling. Regarding the property in Wales, it is very appropriate for Charles to own property in Wales, I just wondered if it was to be a main residence or one for holidays. John believes it is for investment purposes, which makes perfect sense. Regarding Highgrove, I doubt Prince William will be given Highgrove until Charles ascends the throne and has Balmoral and Windsor to call his own. Country estates are a must for the Royals because of the tedium and pressure associated with the Goverment’s access to Buckingham Palace. Queen Victoria commented that she felt as if she were living in a fishbowl in London and I doubt things have gotten better.

s.s.could you please specificaly tell me in what information you refer too and i will provide you some articles and references.Gigi i agree about Wiliam not being given Highrove but i find it a bit too much,after so many houses Charles now uses,and how many Palaces the Royals have,to buy even more and build even more in order to live there.Why for example KP cant be used?As for WIlliam and Harry and their partying habits,as John sugested to me,i wont comment.Sorry guys,but 25 and 24 year olds,arent so young anymore,to go out in clubs and get drunked everyweekend.25 and 24 years old i know,work hard,have families,continue or expand their studies,and have much more to do than go out and get drunk when they have free time,although we all do that still,we dont do it every other day.Seems the these two young men havent got anything else to do,they dont read?Go to the movies?Spend their time doing other things.Other habits.Who goes out and get drunk on a weekday so often as they do and at such age?Maybe its only me that founds it strange.So please i try and stay out of the whole William and Harry saga and comment on more general things/Anyone who wants my personal view on them can email me.Thanks.

thanks shake! i would be most interested in the info about guy being gone when harry’s substance abuse was reported. i firmly believe that despite pelly’s hard partying ways, he is not to blame for harry’s previous drug problem and recent tardy appearance. according to your sources, i am right.
also, about the william and harry interview i guess john dosen’t know the answer to what harry said… however, i don’t think that william was negative when he was talking about his mother. after all, right be harry interrupted him, he said, “it’s a visit that stayed with me for ever.” sounds to me as if he feels that it was a meaningful visit, despite what he may thought about the visit before actually going.
