Chelsy Davy on Four Month World Tour
Chelsy Davy has headed off on a four month “world tour” before starting her postgraduate studies in politics at Bristol university.
Originally, the trip was billed as a way of taking her mind off Prince Harry’s overseas deployment, possibly to Iraq. However, it now seems Harry may go to Afghanistan in October.
In the meantime, he has a very comfortable billet in the Windsor barracks of the Blues and Royals, with an easy schedule from 8.30am to 4.45pm weekdays, and evenings and weekends off. Why then has Chelsy chosen to remove herself for four months while he is mostly available in Britain? There surely can’t be trouble in paradise, can there?
As a farewell gesture, Harry treated his girlfriend and her mother and father to dinner at the Windows restaurant on the 28th floor of the Park Lane Hilton.

I had a feeling something was not right when she flew back to South Africa. First she was shopping for a flat in London, with Kate assisting. Then she returned to South Africa and now she is going on a four month trip. Perhaps her parents felt she was being placed in an untenable position and did not want her to face the media harrassment Kate has faced and bundled her off on this trip. On the other hand, young people here in the USA often take a trip to Europe or Asia between graduation from university and resuming their studies to take a post-graduate degree. This trip might well be just that, but somehow I doubt it.
I think I have the January blues.

I think she’s had her trip planned before and so she is going. Not much to report..I just graduated and I travelled–had a good time. Chelsy’s just having fun doing what’s normal for girls after graduation.

I have to agree with Pri,, Chelsy deserves this trip after all the hard work she has had, plus a great congrats gift for entering the post graduate!!

Thank goodness Chelsy has “A Life” outside of Harry’s and is not sitting around after graduating, waiting for months or years for something to happen. She is making things happen in her life. Travel is great and if someone asks what she did after graduation, she can say I traveled and saw a bit of the world. Good for her. Then on to her Masters Degree.
