Kate Middleton Puts Out Rubbish
Hold the front page! Kate Middleton is normal. She puts out her own rubbish. Could this shake the Throne of England? Should she have demanded a platoon of liveried flunkies? Have standards slipped that much in the British Monarchy?
I’ll bet this non-story — flashed across Her Majesty’s loyal media this morning — will let loose a hail of anti-Kate comments on the forums and, yes, even here at Royal Anecdotes, the quiet corner of Royal commentrary.
Personally, I think she looks rather sweet. I like a girl who does the chores. It says so much about her work ethic. She must have muscles like an Irish navvy.
Now who says she doesn’t work?

healthy girls are bettera healthy approach to getting things done is betterthe nice outfit is better than some chiffon frockhonest approach to what life holds for us all and how we’re “much of a same really, when it gets right down to it” is better all around for all those around

I think Kate has gotten a bit thin but she still looks good as long as she does not lose anymore. But lets get real here she is young, single and lives alone so if she does not put out the garbage it will not get there by its self. I can’t believe this is even getting the comments it is.

Now there is Wedding Speculation on the cover of PEOPLE Magazine in US edition. Maybe she’s losing weight from all the stress of photogs or maybe just waiting for William. If he doesn’t propose I wonder if it will be embarassing for her?

kate gets dressed black so that it wants to go out thin in the photos, she tries to hide that it raised of weight. it has something psychological that not this good! … but she continues being for my the woman who searches carefully the sweepings

Hey John, thanks 4 replying. I’m glad u think i say interesting things. But i just want to tell you, the British public, is sensationalist loving and that is very destructive. You said they will accept no other girlfriend if PW and Kate brake up? Well, i think they should begin to mind their own business just in case this does not work out and they wind up having to readjust yet again. They should accept or not bother with however William ends up with. It really, Joh, is not their decision or power and they can hate the up coming woman PW will have all they want, but it will not change anything. You said whoever is Will’s next girlfriend will be despised like Camilla. Don’t be so sure. And i’m so glad for someone like Shake giving us more facts than fiction.
Please, do not pin all your hopes on William, he is the lost one, (although it does not look like it to the media) not Harry.

I don’t understand what all the fuss is about? To me the photo looks like she’s taking out her trash! I must say there are quite a few negative comments about her appearance, and I’m not sure why. I think she looks quite nice in the cardigan with the trendy straight jeans and boots.

But….for people who have seen her since University days, she has dropped a bit of weight that’s all. Not really uncommon in young women who may be going through a lot of changes in their lives. Moving,dating,shopping,vacationing….can’t really say “work” life for Kate,she doesn’t seem to have a job. Maybe she is just stressed. Her face did look rather tired, bags under her eyes, to be quite honest. Still she looked neat, clean, outfit put together nicely, she could walk down any street in NYCity and blend right in, for casual day wear, shopper. I think the press has worked overtime to try and sell this girl, IF Kate doesn’t marry William at this point with all the press, then it’s just NOT meant to be.
Is it Decemeber yet, that’s when John “somewhat” promised a Engagement Announcement??

Hey John, Kate’s got a job. She is working as an accessories buyer at Jigsaw, more like a personal assistant, a gopher. It’s in at least one tabloid. But it’s a job and the article says she is quite nice, very willing to pitch in at a photo shoot, and even made coffee/tea and serving people. Everyone there likes her. Article says she is using job to get experience as buyer. Hmm. Sounds like perhaps that children’s offshoot of her parents’ business will eventually happen. Yeah, she got the job through her connections with William but so what. Half of our summer interns get their jobs through their daddys’ connections so big deal.
GOOD FOR KATE. My decads old and well-honed hunch says this girl is a keeper.
Nattering nabobs of negativity in 5….4…..3….2….1… Guaranteed to show up and accuse the paper of lying, attacking her for using connections to get her job, when that’s how most of these sorts of jobs are achieved, it’s make-up work….you get the picture.
Either that or there’ll be nothing but crickets chirping here until the talking points for their line of attack are formulated.

I also like the reference to Diana in the last line.Until now the Palace was telling us,William liked Kate cause she was like Camilla,a country girl,and not minding her appearance and this and that and she isnt troubled like Diana or damaged like Diana and William liked that to her.Now all of a sudden too many references to Diana and how Kate is like her.

Its being confirmed that the press was tipped of about Kates new job,and that explains how they were photos of her going there in her first day.Photographers were waiting for her there.So i guess the Palace says in plain words,here she is,working come and see.Staged as with everything that has to do with the Royals for years now.Photo ops and nothing more.

I’m just glad to see the lady FINALLY Working. That was one of my only real beefs about her, she seemed to just want to coast into the title or tiara from she and William’s University living, to Future Queen. It’s good to see her working no matter what it is, it’s quite nice. According to The SUN, one of Charles friends hired her, so maybe she is getting ready for that Princess or Duchess ring and tiara.

I would just like to comment on how interesting all of this is. All these websites comment on how lazy kate is and how she just goes on vacations and snogs with wills. Then a newstory comes out with a “mole” claiming shes not lazy and shes so misunderstood and she’s a nice hard working girl. And now pictures surface of her taking out her trash. And now everyones talking about how “normal” she is and how palace life hasnt changed her. I think we all need to step back and realize that shes being represented by some of the most powerful publicists in the world. Chances are shes still as lazy yet this was a staged photo op… just “catching” kate going about her normal ways.

The last sentence in the Sun referenced Kate’s job compared to Diana’s assistant teaching job. Didn’t Diana have that job before she and Charles started to each other (among others such as housekeeping)? Who said “A mind is a terrible thing to waste”? So is an education- this so-called new job is about PR and nothing more to mark her time and silence others about her lack of employment. Now she at least has something to do!

Diana had no university education and that “job” she had was as a teacher’s assistant, she did not have the academic credentials to qualify as a full-fledged teacher. So yes, both jobs are sort of similar in that they are sort of front-line assistants. For anyone else Kate’s job would be viewed as an entry-level job into a marketing or fashion career. In Kate’s case I BELIEVE it is a time filler until the engagement to William is announced. BOOYAH!!!! :O It is a savvy move though. It fits perfectly with her art degree, her parents’ business, and her sidelined wish to create an online children’s clothing line.

Positive,dont compare Dianas working ethic with Kates.Diana didnt have a Uni education,but kate who has,where exactly she has used it,ending up in such a laughable job and just after so much criticism and doing nothing for months.Diana didnt only worked as a kindergarden teacher,at the same time,she was also taking care the kid of an american couple,and in her spare time,she was also cleaning and painting houses of her friends.She was also volunteering around Althorp area,and every weekend she was going on a elderlys home,doing the errants the shopping for them and so on.Dont compare Kate to Diana,just because Kate happened to work for a day.

Perhaps we should be saying one-half of the day. Reportedly (and with photos) she was seen out until 2:30 a.m. Friday morning from a birthday party, then appeared at Jigsawon Friday morning, then left shortly after with mommie dearest to do what… go shopping!!!

I did not compare Kate and Diana’s working ethic, I compared the similarity of their yeoman positions. Reading comprehension. It’s important.

It is funny what Leaann pointed out… didn’t really catch that at first; I was just so excited she got a job! Kate really DOES have to have some incredibly strong PR people working in her corner. First, that snogging rumor and then a convenient photo op when Kate was “locked out.” The the mole about Kate “not being lazy.” And then her taking out her trash. And then she suddenly has a job! All within a matter of a few weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I am thrilled that she is doing something and is being what a young lady should –productive, courteous, kind, and willing to help –but you can’t ignore the PR behind this. Diana proved that the media can either be your best friend or your worst enemy –and they are certainly Kate’s best friend.

I’ve lived in America for awhile now and they do the same thing will all the hollywood actors and actresses. The most recent was when britney spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton were seen partying together although it was clear they aren’t friends. Lohan admitted saying that it was just a photo op garnered to create attention for all. It’s a brilliant strategy and i think that Kate’s future is being decided by these people. Notice that now there will almost never be a moment where we see kate truly off guard as we do with chelsy. She can be falling down drunk everyday and all we will see is her helping children or her being “normal kate”

Jennifer you are right about the media being Kate’s best friends…atleast for the time being. Honestly i think this is just to show us that she is like a normal girl who went to high price University and got a degree she’s not using, living in a flat in London that is paid for by MOM and DAD, and waiting 18 months to get a job. Clearly she’s not paying the bills. And undoubtedly the most dressed up/ fixed up person to ever take out the trash…i mean i don’t look like that when i’m putting out the trash bins. So yea i would say that the PR is good for now, but just wait for the bad karma from all the charles and camilla stuff…i just hope wills and harry don’t have mistresses like their father. But in some photos wills doesn’t even seem like he’s at all intrested in her. There’s even photos of him “frenching” a girl from some band and the prince’s trust party. I think if this relationship fails it will be william who ends it, not kate. Honestly, if i saw recent pictures of my boyfriend making out with another one we would have some serious problems, and i have yet to see anything from Kate the “great” about this.
