According to Katie Nicholl, Kate Middleton has warned Prince William against associating with former mutual friend, Guy Pelly (pictured with Kate). Tensions are said to be fraught between Pelly and Kate after she took him aside and complained about his behaviour.
Pelly, who is now general manager of The Connection bar in South Kensington, has been involved in a series of escapades in his self-appointed role as the two Princes’ “court jester”. They include allegedly mooning at the window of a crowded restaurant where he was working as a waiter, and climbing onto the roof of an all-girls school. His companion was said to have broken a leg in the incident which ended both in hospital and a police station.
“Kate likes Guy and they have fun when they’re out together but she thinks he can be childish and irresponsible, especially after a few drinks,” said a Royal mole quoted in the UK Mail on Sunday. “She seems quite keen to move William away from Guy … He’s been going around with his tail between his legs ever since, trying to behave himself.”
We’re beginning to see what a good influence Kate has become on the Prince in the run-up to what is now looking like an inevitable date with Westminster Abbey.

According to a report in the UK’s People Sunday newspaper, Prince William will be made Duke of Cambridge on his marriage.
If this information is true it shows that the Palace is quietly making preparations for a wedding between the Prince and Kate Middleton, who will become Duchess of Cambridge. The earlier May/June wedding “pencilled-in” story is now looking decidedly feasible.
The last Royal Duke of Cambridge died in 1904 after causing a stir by marrying an actress — a big deal in those days. Prince Edward was suggested for the Dukedom on his marriage, but it was decided to give him the lesser title of Earl of Wessex while he waits to inherit his father’s title of Duke of Edinburgh.
The People goes on : “The decision shows the Queen now believes it’s only a matter of time before the couple — who have been dating for five years [sic] — get married. We told last month how Wills was being urged to propose to Kate, 24, within months. And a highly-placed source said: ‘Kate is being quietly groomed for her new role. The Queen thinks she’s a natural and a perfect consort for William. The Dukedom will be an interim title for Wills while he waits to inherit his father’s title of Prince of Wales when Charles becomes King.”
Last week’s announcement that William will become Ranger of Windsor is another indication that the Royal Family is steadily putting his future domestic arrangements in place.

In a surprise announcement on her 21st birthday, Chelsy Davy has said she has been accepted as a postgraduate politics student at Bristol University, just 27 miles from Highgrove, the Gloucestershire home of Prince Charles and his two sons.
The news means that Chelsy will be moving to England next year and will have close, frequent contact with long-distance boyfriend, Prince Harry.
Chelsy’s Twenties-themed birthday party was held in an upmarket restaurant in Cape Town in the presence of her parents and up to 100 friends. Harry was said to be in very amorous mood on the dancefloor, despite her family looking on.
One complication, as a Prince, Harry is not allowed to comment on anything political. It remains to be seen how this will work out if his girlfriend, and possible wife, has a higher degree in the subject. If Chelsy does become a Princess sometime in the future, I can foresee all kinds of sticky situations arising as Chelsy plies her trade.
Poor Harry.

Prince Harry is thought to have asked Chelsy Davy to come to Britain and move in with him.
Friends are saying that since Harry joined the army and reduced his wild social life he is missing her more and more. A source has been quoted as saying that he wants to “take their relationship to a new level”.
Reports say : “The news came as Harry flew 6000 miles to Cape Town to be at Chelsy’s side for her 21st birthday party after completing army training with his new regiment, the Blues and Royals. He is expected to join about 100 of the blonde heiress’s friends at the party.”
The source continues : “He is totally smitten with Chelsy and misses her terribly. He would love her to be closer so they could see each other more often.”
The situation is affected also by the news that Harry will not now be allowed to serve as a front line soldier because of his Royal status.
The UK Daily Mail comments : “Some Royal insiders claim the relationship is not regarded as favourably by the Queen and Prince Charles as Prince William’s with Kate Middleton. Miss Middleton has met the Queen, joined William and Prince Charles on their annual ski break, accompanied the Prince to the Duchess of Cornwall’s daughter Laura’s wedding and appeared on the Royal balcony at Cheltenham.”
