Hello to Prince William and Kate Middleton
Hello Magazine has got a 16-page supplement on Prince William and Kate Middleton. Here’s their blurb :
“Why Kate is his one true love, how a Royal wedding would progress and which palatial estate they’ll make their home. Read more in an exclusive 16-page special in the issue of Hello! hitting newsstands starting today.”
A lot of people are talking about this, including The London News which calls them “the United Kingdom’s most beloved couple”. They obviously haven’t been reading the comments on Royal Anecdotes.
They even predict : “When Charles and Diana married, more than 750 million people watched the ceremony on TV. With William and Kate, that figure is likely to be outstripped.”
I can certainly believe that, mainly because there are far more television sets in the world now, plus internet streaming services and 24-hour news. Even so, I think the interest will be enormous.
How much real insider information they’ve got remains to be seen though.

I just hope that history does not repeat its self and Kate is able to cope with the constant attention and intrusion’s Diana had to endure.

With all the recent articles about Chelsy, the press was getting nervous, so they decided to compile a 16-page supplement on Ms. Middleton. Forgive me, there were a couple paragraphs in there about William.
The reason for my sarcasm? The fact that there can be nothing new in this feature, but the spotlight must always stay on Kate! *sigh*
John, what is this crazy talk? We bloggers here at Royal Anecdotes looove William and Kate.
By Jane on October 28th, 2006 at 4:57 am
Thanks for the tip John. I can’t wait to read about this lovely young couple, and I wish them a bright and happy future together and Prince and Princess and then as King and Queen!
John, your lovely site has been invaded, and it’s becoming another site where a very small bunch of the same cast of characters get together to spew hatred and paranoia about Kate Middleton. It’s too bad.
By Positive on October 28th, 2006 at 1:30 pm
Thanks, Jane and Pos. If you look at the terms searched on for this site, the girls are way ahead of the chaps. Kate and Chelsy are well in the lead with Kate getting double Chelsy’s score. Whatever anyone thinks of Kate she’s the star of the search engines. Google must be adding lots to its great wealth through interest in Kate. Wouldn’t it be strange if Chelsy went to work for them?
By John on October 28th, 2006 at 2:46 pm
Sorry Treeka, Prince William will never be Queen
By John on October 28th, 2006 at 5:11 pm
Why doesn’t Kate deserve to be Queen? If and when she marries William that is what her role will be it is not a question of what she deserves. As for Billy Windsor his name is William and he is second in line after his father that is his claim and birthright name someone else with a better claim.

We all deserve to say whatever we want even if other egocentric people don’t want…
John, thank you for letting us use the freedom off speech… We all have a hoot reading the comments… does who do not appreciate other peoples thought should be banned from this site…no, from the internet, nay? LOL
I am moving soon, and reading this site and commenting takes the level stress off.
Pos, just deal with it.. some people love kate and some people can’t stand her… i don’t care about her personally, she seems like a nice girl.. but not to be the neext princess… filling in Diana’s shoes or making it better is a hard job… and Kate does not have the charm Diana had even though the press is working hard to brainwash people about that…
By Ziny on October 28th, 2006 at 11:43 pm
I’ll deal with it when you deal with the fact that the press isn’t brainwashing anyone, Kate and William are a couple, are in love, and will odds on marry. And that most people view her POSITIVEly.
By Positive on October 29th, 2006 at 1:19 am
Thanks, Ziny, glad you like it. I hope the move goes well — I know the stress it always causes. We’re moving down the coast in the new year, so we’ve got that to look forward to
By John on October 29th, 2006 at 10:22 am
True, Pos, it’s only a matter of time. Bring it on!
By John on October 29th, 2006 at 10:23 am
Just a question… why is there hardly any news about Chelsy on this site? Except when it mentions Kate or makes Kate look the saint yet again?
And Hello is an obvious Kate supporter and by the way they are a tabloid and have no real credibility.
By varya on October 30th, 2006 at 3:18 am
Because there is just not as much interest in Harry’s dates as there are in William’s. Barring some unforseen tragedy, Harry’s life looks like it’s going the way of his Uncle Andrew. Bless them both. And because this is John’s blog, he can cover who he likes.
By Positive on October 30th, 2006 at 6:58 am
Varya, there’s masses of news about Chelsy on this site. It come in fits and starts though. One week it’s all Kate, then Harry, then Chelsy. But twice as many people search on Kate than Chelsy.
Hello is a magazine not a tabloid. A tabloid is just a particular size of paper. The Daily Mail, which is a qualityish newspaper, is a tabloid, so is The Times these days. It’s a red-top tabloids you have to be careful of.
By John on October 30th, 2006 at 9:45 am
John, I think that Hello has rehashed old information and they are not printing any new ideas or revealing any fresh news. I believe that this is partly what fuels some of the vitriol being spewed here about Prince William and his current girlfriend. I believe that the other part is a misconception on the part of some people that Kate and William write their own stories about themselves, which is totally untrue. The media will write and report what it chooses. Neither Prince William nor his girlfriend have control over what the media chooses to print about them, good or bad. I do admit to being mystified by people who say they ‘can’t stand someone’ or who ‘hate’ someone that they not only have never met, but someone who hasn’t caused anyone any harm, or done anything wrong. It boggles the mind.
By Gail on October 30th, 2006 at 1:03 pm
I agree with you, Gail. To say you hate someone you’ve never met who hasn’t done anything particularly bad, except not find a job a year after leaving university, is a bit rich.
By John on October 30th, 2006 at 1:47 pm
John prints a lot of news about Chelsy I think and Kate.
Kate is dating the heir to the Throne eventually, so she gets the publicity avalanche, of course, but I do wonder sometimes if there isn’t a little “Press-Agent” hidden in the Middleton soup, like someone in the Middleton camp, made a deal with someone in the press, if they ever break-up, it will all come out, that’s for sure. I still have my suspicions about Kate’s press, it’s just odd in some ways, unless of course the press is afraid of her lawyers who she calls out now and again if by a rare chance if something occurs that she doesn’t like, eg. press getting to close to her while shopping or catching a bus…… Wonder why no threats of lawyers lately from the Midds????
By mandy on October 30th, 2006 at 7:56 pm
William has a press office and it’s likely they get involved for Kate too occasionally.
By John on October 31st, 2006 at 8:49 am
No I mean the Midds secretly making a quiet little deal with someone in the press. Nothing on the up and up that can be seen. or proven. I just don’t trust something about her press. People have done such things before. And she used to threaten lawsuits, now that has disappeared. Odd.
By mandy on October 31st, 2006 at 6:14 pm
I agree Mandy. There is something odd about the CONSTANT positive press about KM. Even celebrities (and I am not confusing the two… although Kate is still a celebrity and not a royal despite what the press wants us to think) who are respected overall get bad press every now and then. But KM has gotten NOTHING but overwhelmingly positive press. WEIRD!
By varya on November 1st, 2006 at 1:11 am
The good press is because she conducts herself marvelously. She appears to be a lovely young woman. From the looks of it William has made a great choice, if she’s the one that is, which I think she is. They’ve been together for too long. I think she is his rock and has been so for a very long time. From appearances only she deserves every good word that is written about her.
By Positive on November 1st, 2006 at 1:49 am
Might I add lovely and grounded young woman. Close knit family, not a loud mouth, just a decent person not looking for the limelight, minding her business. I take William to be a sharp and wary customer who excels at spotting a phony a mile away. And where his judge of character would fail, others around him wouldn’t. So this girl is probably the real deal. I wish them both the best.
By Positive on November 1st, 2006 at 1:53 am
You my dear blogger… live in the clouds…. keep dreaming… perhaps when you reach adult hood you will realize that living in a perfect fantasy world is just that…. FANTASY…
By Ziny on November 1st, 2006 at 2:46 am
How do we know William has made “his choice” of wife yet, when he clearly said he didn’t want to marry until around 30. I’ll take a wait and see scenerio instead of trying to marry them off at 24, like the press seems to want to. They can be serious but it does not mean they will marry or won’t marry. I’ll just wait and see.
As for Kate’s press it’s all not positive as we saw with the “WHAT’S THE POINT OF KATE MIDDLETON article in The FIRST POST comparing her to a footballers girlfriend, I just felt it was something odd about it in a few papers. That’s all. We have one month(Dec.) until an engagement is suppose to happen, so we shall see.
By mandy on November 1st, 2006 at 5:40 pm
We shall indeed, Mandy.
By John on November 1st, 2006 at 6:02 pm
Positive do you work for any publication like Hello, Daily mail etc? Because you sounds JUST like them.
By varya on November 1st, 2006 at 11:02 pm
I sound like someone who is willing to give this demure young woman and her prince the benefit of the doubt.
I am older than Kate and William’s mothers and was around to witness the same scrutiny Diana received. I’ve been around the block. I don’t need some kid who goes from site to site shooting darts at paparazzi photos of her pinup’s girlfriend to lecture me about “adult hood.”[sic] The “adult” thing to do is to withhold judgment of people you have no clue about and to put a sock in the green eyed rants already.
By Positive on November 2nd, 2006 at 3:08 am
The weirdest thing is that you sound like a teen whose drawing hearts on pin up pictures Kate…. And honey? I do not, i repeat, i DO NOT have a pinup of Prince William… he is NOT my type… I’m just a person who admires his mother very much and wishes him the best in the world…
green eyed rants?? PUH-LEASE….. I’m very happy being me and not having people worship me for something I’m not….and perfect, I’m not and neither are you….
By Ziny on November 2nd, 2006 at 4:26 am
I won’t get into a pissing contest with you because it’s ridiculous. But I will say this: Prince William’s mother is gone. No one will replace her. No one aspires to. Despite what you say about wishing the best for William, your remarks say something entirely different.
This was a pleasant place at one time until a handful of the same suspects came here with this weird paranoia and bitterness towards this girl. It is rapidly becoming toxic with the constant petty bitterness and broadsides against someone who has done nothing publicly to deserve it except quietly date an heir to the throne.
By Positive on November 2nd, 2006 at 8:46 am
You are so right Positive… and the world is flat.. Yes, she is trying to compete with Diana..or haven’t read what the papers say..???

One of you is the REAL KATE AND I SUGGEST YOU GET A LIFE AND STOP GOGGLING YOURSELF!

trust me its not me… LOL
By Ziny on November 2nd, 2006 at 11:47 pm

Nor me. Stand up the real Kate, please
By John on November 3rd, 2006 at 9:33 am
Hilarious stuff – good going John! I think Gail up there said it best when there are all these people who’ve never met x or y and seem to want to invest energy in ‘hating’ them. methinks it’s cos of jealousy or something – but why – i can’t imagine. does anyone really want to fill william’s or kate’s shoes? just think of all that publicity – eugh! all these people on the blogosphere hating you…

Kate may be in need of the Human Rights Act, Sonia
