Chelsy Davy Goes Postgrad in Bristol

In a surprise announcement on her 21st birthday, Chelsy Davy has said she has been accepted as a postgraduate politics student at Bristol University, just 27 miles from Highgrove, the Gloucestershire home of Prince Charles and his two sons.

The news means that Chelsy will be moving to England next year and will have close, frequent contact with long-distance boyfriend, Prince Harry.

Chelsy’s Twenties-themed birthday party was held in an upmarket restaurant in Cape Town in the presence of her parents and up to 100 friends. Harry was said to be in very amorous mood on the dancefloor, despite her family looking on.

One complication, as a Prince, Harry is not allowed to comment on anything political. It remains to be seen how this will work out if his girlfriend, and possible wife, has a higher degree in the subject. If Chelsy does become a Princess sometime in the future, I can foresee all kinds of sticky situations arising as Chelsy plies her trade.

Poor Harry.

  1. OMG… you just had to add that last bit didn’t you. I am sure that Chelsy having a high degree will bother Harry. And If she does become a Princess (which at this point I hope she does) I am sure that she will not run her mouth when it is expected that she not.
Anyway good for her… she seems extremely smart and a good candidate for a future princess, imo.

  2. Congrats to Chelsy! But didn’t she say that she didn’t want to move to London because of the weather? Or was that just random gossip?

  3. Go Chelsy!!! After that I hope she gets a job in fashion because I love her clothes!

  4. I can’t see where haveing a higher degree in politics can stir up trouble it would be an advantage as a Princess knowing just how it works and can further not only good relation between the RF and government but in diplomatic relations with foreign politicians. I hope one day she will become Harry’s princess for him she is perfect.

  5. This is fabulous news, she intends to get a higher degree , it’s certainly a wonderful thing for anyone to do, if they choose. The press tries to portray her as not a serious girl, boy are they wrong. This is a young woman who is going places, with or without a Prince boyfriend. Way to go Chelsy.

  6. I completely agree Mandy!! Yah again!

  7. It certainly seems an ideal solution from their point of view. When Chelsy told Kate she didn’t want to move to London, she must have been planning the move to Bristol all along. Smart thinking.

  8. When did Chelsy say to kate that she didn’t want to move to London?

  9. I have to say that I like her better than Kate, but I would say that the Queen will not take lightly to their getting engaged. This would only happen if her father and the rest of her family were disowed or moved to england. The royal family want nothing to do with the government of south africa.
