Cashing in on Prince William
It’s good to know that Prince William spreads his bounty around the country like the Kings of old. Wherever he goes, enterprising folk cash in on his Royal cachet.
Take Mr Sami Chowdhury, proprietor of WE The Restaurant in Fleet Hampshire. When Prince William and 37 fellow officers from nearby Sandhurst Military Academy dropped in for a curry, Sami took out a front-page advert in the local gazette announcing that his oddly-named establishment had been patronized by “HRH Prince William”.
WE The Restaurant, which is graced by pools of koi carp with waterfalls, now offers a “Set Menu As Served to Prince William & Party” for £19.95 ($37) per person.
The proud proprietor said: “William bought several rounds of drinks for his mates and drank Jack Daniel’s and Coke all evening — even when he was eating. He was very chatty and friendly and loved the food, especially the Chicken Tikka Masala — he asked for a second helping.
I wonder if Sami will apply for a Royal Warrant to hang over his door?

Ah one has to love free enterprise!!., one visit does not a restaurant make.

Well, if I were ever passing through Fleet in Hampshire, I think I’d pop in to Sami’s and try out the Chicken Tikka Masala. I’d skip the Jack Daniel’s though
