Prince William to marry Kate Middleton next spring/summer
Royal sources are saying that a date has been pencilled in for the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton “next spring or early summer”.
Last night a spokeman for Clarence House refused to comment.
The UK Mail on Sunday is reporting that Kate has had a series of private meetings with the Queen and that she has been given an induction course in how to be a member of the Royal family. Her unofficial media training has included watching footage of the late Princess Diana.
All this sounds like serious business at the Palace which would not allow such stories into the public domain unrebutted if they were not true.
Stand by for a major Royal wedding unmatched since Charles and Diana in 1981.
John do you think an official announcement will be made the beginning of next year? It seems to be significant that no rebuttals are coming from the palace as was the case with Charles and Diana.

I think they’re desperate to avoid the mistakes they made with Charles and Diana, Trudie, so they may do the opposite. The whole thing was built up into such a crescendo followed by a train wreck ending, they wouldn’t want to go through that again with William and Kate.
I suspect it will be much more sophisticated this time round, with the wedding lower key and fewer expectations aroused. But it all depends on the public. They just love big Royal occasions — look at the Jubilee and the 80th birthday. This could get seriously out of hand

Perhaps it could get out of hand however, William and Kate have been together far longer than Charles and Diana were at the time of their engagement. But in the case of it being low key it certainly worked in the case of the Wessexes they seem to have a very happy marriage almost seven years on.

Yes, but I doubt it would be held at Windsor like the Wessexes. A future King would call for Westminster Abbey, I think. St Paul’s would have too many echoes of Charles and Diana.

Well, Lucy, this came from a source close to the Palace, which is usually code for someone in the press office there. The plan is probably to get the public used to Kate before an engagement is announced.

hmmm William married at age 25?? I don’t know but I still have my doubts. He has made it clear that he doesn’t want to marry until he is at least 28. I think the press are just wanting to sell more papers. Kate does not look happy in alot of photos so how can the royal family think she is suitable when she is anti-social or seems to be to the public (I’m not saying she is) but she has no interest in the public, only royalty?

I think she’s quite a buzzy person in private, but Royal events can be very boring, so maybe they’re getting her used to the tedium of constant weddings, funerals, memorial services and opening hospitals, launching ships etc.

But being a part of royalty of course needs to be able to communicate with the public so I hope Kate starts smiling instead of looking like she is going to kill someone.
I also think that she was invited to the 2 weddings because she is prince williams girlfriend and a nice person and nothing to do with getting ready to marry. Also that she was in the royal box at the horse racing event because she was being hounded by the press and so prince charles invited her in the box with her sister.
I hope they do marry but not until they are in their late twenties…good luck to them both. Out of all the girls I can think of, I would still choose Kate. But one thing is that she seriously needs to get a job or charity work or something instead of shopping alot for the events her boyfriend has opened for her to attend.

She knew that by dating the fture King of England she was going to get all the lenses and the eyes of the world on her. I mean all this shyness could be just an act. Who knows? At the end you have to be avery strong woman to be married to a future King, specially the one from England.
I don’t know her and probably never will. But that’s the impression their relationship gives me. Its just their first serious relationship.
I’m 23.. still to many things I have to do before I get married that’s for sure. But who knows… time will only tell.

Well John, if she DOES want to marry Wills then I suggest at least Charity work to prove to the public. She is by far the only serious royal girlfriend I know without a job or really doing anything, which means that once she marries, if she marries, Wills (the future king of England) what is she doing to do? Ignore the public again and just focus on people with royal blood or high-society? She seems to REALLY hate getting public attention, but how does she want to marry Wills and not understand his status? Wills at least is very interactive with the public, but come on Kate!

She was even taking accountancy lessons. But I’ve not heard anything since. Maybe she was warned not to follow Sophie Wessex’s example of having a business career. Who knows?

I don’t know because I don’t know him and I don’t know if we are compatiblee or not.. although I most say he is hot… there is only one tiny bity problem… I’m Latin.. sure everyone is going to be against our relationship.. and 2 I’m catholic…. I wouldn’t want him to loose his titlee because of me… I have a very good feeling he’s gonna do a very good job as a King…
I think the coolest thing about being in the media is that you can use your “celebrity status” to make good in the world… We have to thank Princess Diana for that. She’s my role model.. the saddest thing was that she died on my birthday (I turned 15 that day and I was at my party… )..
So to anwser your question John… I see Wills and Harry as normal guys who were forced by their destiny to be on the eye of the media… so I would need to date him before saying I do… (I’ll never meet him so… yeah… blah..)

I watched one of the shows of Dr. Phil about the papparrazzi and one of the papparrazi said that Diana didn’t want to be seen at the same event as Camilla and Charles’s first appearance together and that is why they went fast. But wasn’t it the driver that said that he saw a massive bright flash that blinded him and that was why he crashed?

She studied art history. Don’t forget though that being a Princess or a Queen is a real job too and an education is a great asset. Diana was let down by the fact she had very little education.

yes, but what Diana was Diana and I think that people should realize that Kate is not Diana… She might become Princess… but we don’t know if she will be giving herself as much as Diana did, or more, to show the world what was happening the world and that we sould, ya know? At the end Diana showed the world that even though she was a Princess and her education was not as vast as Kate’s, humbleness and what is to truly be dedicated to something.
I know it may sound I’m bashing Kate, but that is not the purpose of these message.
Kate seems like a great girl, but there’s something about her that doesn’t feel right.

It’s maybe that she’s so middle class, Ziny. Diana was an aristocrat through and through. Kate comes from a family that runs a small mail order business in party decorations and paraphanalia. It’s a danger for the Royal family. I don’t think Sophie quite fits in either, though the Queen is said to count her as a close friend.

I also have that ’something isn’t right with Kate’ Ziny. Kate seems fake to me. A few of my friends were at Saint Andrews same time as her and said that she wasn’t very friendly and would only talk to Wills and his friends.

I just found this website…is it really true that people are beginning to talk of their engagement in December? Wow! I read about Kate on another website and it suggested that there was no way he would be able to propose/wed until after his military service (four years or something)–how did this new information about next spring come about? What are more people thinking these days, an earlier or (much) later proposal/wedding? Oh this is just so exciting–yay another princess wedding!

I doubt she ever started that business John. It seems to be a cover-up for Kate to be pretending to start business so I wouldn’t be surprised if she “dropped” that idea. If you look at all the other royal girlfriends that got engaged, you would see that all of them had jobs and did not turn up at celebrity events. Those girls got on with their OWN lives…

I have a question. Is kate of “royal” blood? Isn’t there a rule that royals must marry royals or people with royal blood? if she is middle class, won’t william lose his status by marrying her? its happened in many monarch’s where a royal marries a commoner and loses royalty. Isn’t she considered to be a commoner?
