New Film of Prince Harry

Officer Cadet Harry Wales.
Clarence House has commissioned a film of aspects of Prince Harry’s tough army training at Sandhurst. They plan to release the film following 21-year-old Harry’s graduation next month.
It’s said that a camera crew has recently filmed him making a beach landing in Cyprus, where he’s currently stationed. The video shows the Prince storming a beach on the island, in the midst of a firefight and mock explosions.
The UK News Of The World newspaper quotes a source: “It was just like the opening to ‘Saving Private Ryan’. And Harry did very well. No flinching, no stupid heroics. Very professional.”
Prince Harry and 200 other army cadets are being battle-hardened in Cyprus in an exercise called “Spring Victory”, the final stage of his course before graduating as a British officer.
In a strange twist revealing Royal acceptance, Kate Middleton, Prince William’s girlfriend, has been invited to the passing out parade, while Harry’s girl, Chelsy Davy, has not.

Is this film another PR attempt by Clarence House to bolster Prince Charles as a Father? or to silence critics of Harry. If the latter is the case those critics have to remember that Harry is a young man doing normal things going out with friends and having fun. He is a sensitive caring young man and his work in Lestho showed him at his best. Also it makes me wonder if Harry was in charge of the guest list for his passing out because i’m sure if he was Chelsy would have been invited.

Trudi, I’ve noticed that the PR films involving the Princes are always a success because they’re both engaging and clearly “normal” … as far as any of us are. So, it’s not surprising perhaps that Clarence House wants some good footage of Harry charging up a beach in full combat gear with shells going off all around him

John, i really had not thought of that you are right the Princes are engaging somewhat friendly looking young men. It is just my suspicious mind regarding the courtiers willing to do anything to bolster The POW’s image at the everyone else expense that lingers forgive me.

Yes, you’re right. The courtiers are all playing their own games, a bit like the politicians.

Somehow I can’t see Harry’s head being turned by Hollywood. Edward, yes, but he didn’t finish his commando course.
